  • 70% Over 70% of children in South Sudan are out of the school system.

  • 50% the higher chance of survival for a child born to an educated mother.

Still I Rise Academy - Juba

We are working to open our next Emergency and Rehabilitation School in Juba, the capital of South Sudan. A place that, despite being the country’s political and cultural center, is home to thousands of internally displaced children with no access to education.

Why Juba?

Juba is a rapidly growing city, but one deeply marked by conflict, inequality, and extreme poverty. Many of its residents are displaced people living in overcrowded camps and under harsh conditions. In Juba, children face daily risks of violence, exploitation, and disease. Access to education is limited, especially for girls, who are often forced to drop out of school too early due to early marriage. We want to bring high-quality education to those who have been forgotten, offering a safe and welcoming place that can give them a future.

Our Emergency School

Our team is on the ground in Juba to launch the first activities: legal registration, identifying the most vulnerable areas, and finding a suitable space to host the School. We are building a safe place where children can receive not only education, but also emotional support, daily meals, and the chance to simply be children.
